Giyasli village is located in the northwest of Agdam city, at an altitude of 400–450 m above sea level. The distance from the village to the center of Agdam city is 3 km.

The total area designed for the settlement of 6065 people (1516 families) in the village of Giyasli is 398.9 hectares.

In order to ensure the sustainable and technological development of the region, the application of "smart village" technologies is envisaged within the framework of Giyasli village planning. It covers various aspects of life with innovations such as solar energy, waste management, and "smart water supply.".

The design work for the village will be carried out in stages. Taking into account the number of people who will live here, 114.4 ha of land has been allocated for the first stage of the construction of residential areas. In the first stage, 455 individual houses will be built for the resettlement of 1,820 people, and all conditions will be created to ensure the employment of the population in the village of Giyasli.
