The State Senior Design Institute "Azermemarlayihe" under the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, began its activity in 1930. During the years of its activity, it was engaged in designing civil and residential buildings, designing facilities and territories, planning settlements in cities and villages, as well as developing settlement schemes for the entire territory and individual regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The activity of the "Azermemarlayihe" State Senior Design Institute, one of the oldest and most prestigious design institutes in the country, covers the development of sketches and working projects of buildings meeting modern and innovative requirements, planning works related to all stages of territorial planning documentation, as well as general plans, master plans, and detailed plans, also the organization and implementation of author control.

"Azermemarlayihe" State Senior Design Institute, under the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architectureof the Republic of Azerbaijan, is one of the organizations actively involved in the reconstruction and design of the liberated territories. It has implemented the design of settlements and separate residential and public buildings in the liberated territories. Currently, the institute has set a goal to carry out serious reforms in its activities, to ensure the development of project products that meet the requirements and challenges of the modern era, and to form a competitive business environment in which constant updating is considered an important factor.
