Located to the east of Aghdam district, Sarijali village is 6 km from the district center.
Sarijali village was occupied by Armenian armed forces during the First Karabakh War. During the occupation, Armenian vandals destroyed the village and turned it into a ruin. After the glorious victory of our army in the Second Karabakh War, according to the trilateral statement signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of the Russian Federation, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia on November 10, 2020, the Aghdam region came under the control of the Azerbaijani armed forces on November 20, 2020.
The total area projected for the population of 1720 people (425 families) who will live in the village of Sarıjali is 101.9 hectares.
According to the project, it is planned to demolish existing unusable buildings in the area and on the side of Agdam-Aghjabadi Road and build a modern "smart village" in its place. The design work for the village will be carried out in stages. Taking into account the number of people who will live here, 50.3 hectares of land have been allocated for the first phase of residential construction.
In the first stage, 211 private houses will be built for the resettlement of 895 people, and all conditions will be created to ensure the employment of the population in Sarıjali village. A total of 774 people are expected to be employed in cultural and entertainment centers, a number of enterprises of various purposes, economic development facilities, education, management, and agriculture.
Construction works started on October 10, 2022.
The completion of construction is planned for 10.04.2024.
