The planned mosque project in Khankendi aims to create a religious and cultural space that is both functional and aesthetically aligned with the city’s architectural character. The project covers an area of 3.6 hectares and includes key infrastructure elements such as parking facilities, auxiliary buildings, and ablution rooms alongside the main mosque structure
During the development of the master plan, harmony with the surrounding environment and proper integration with nearby residential buildings, a church, and public facilities were carefully considered. The overall appearance of the mosque reflects a combination of traditional Islamic architectural features and modern design solutions. Facades incorporating tile decorations, marble cladding, and wooden lattice elements form the main visual identity of the project
The design approach goes beyond creating a place of worship — it seeks to establish an open, welcoming, and meaningful public environment for city residents. The new mosque is regarded as one of the significant projects contributing to the preservation of religious heritage and cultural diversity in Khankendi.
